Welcome to our website. On this page, we will introduce our business/hobby, highlight areas of interest,
and give you some helpful information on raising, breeding, and living with a Pomeranian.
This website is dedicated to a very special little dog...the POMERANIAN!! This breed is very energetic
and loyal to its owner. They are perfectly content and comfortable to live in a small apartment or in a large,
luxurious mansion. They just want a comfy lap to snuggle up in when they are done romping and playing at the end of
the day.
This site is designed to give you some important information on living with and caring for a POMERANIAN.
Also, we will attempt to answer some of the most common questions that we are asked about the health concerns,
feeding and grooming, and general care of a POMERANIAN.
Here at GUCCI'S POMERANIANS, we are striving to raise, breed and show the highest quality POMERANIANS,
and we are very dedicated to the breed standard set by the AKC. For this reason, we do not breed for QUANTITY,
but rather for QUALITY of the breed. For these reasons, we only breed a limited number of POMERANIANS that will
be placed for adoption per year. We only breed to improve on the quality of the breed and strive to breed the closest
to AKC breed standard as we can.
All of our POMS are raised in our home by my husband and I and they are treated like our "children." They
are raised together from the time that they are weaned from their mothers, which usually starts at about 4 weeks of
age, depending upon the age appropriateness of each puppy. Some puppies will not wean from their mother until
6 or 7 weeks of age. After weaning, being put with the other POMS of the household, they can begin
to learn how to socialize with others of their same kind, and learn the social and life skills that they
will need later in their lives when they leave us for their new families. Also, in this way, we can
give everyone the same amount of attention and love, and work on their dog to human social skills at the earliest
age safely possible. Our little ones do not leave their mothers until they are at least 6 weeks old and most of them
stay with their mother until they are 9-12 weeks old. At this time they are adoptable.
We hope that you will find something of interest on our site and that you will decide to make a GUCCI'S
POM a member of your family when one becomes adoptable. We will try to guide you in some of the difficult
areas of raising, caring, and living with a POM. We hope that you will enjoy your visit and that you will
tell your family and friends about us, and that they will visit, too.
We also hope that you will use this website as a reference point to ask any questions and relay any concerns
you may have about POMS now or in the future, and we will promise you that we will do our best to answer your questions
or concerns as soon as possible. Be assured that all of the information on this site is either from first hand experience
or from some very experienced POM breeders who have helped us along our way.
Please come back often to keep up on all of the new and exciting things happening in the POM world.
Also, please check in at our Guest book/Message board when you visit. This page is for comments,
